Mattingly stays on as Phillies manager, reaching 2-year deal

Don Mattingly has signed a two-year deal to remain as manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. Mattingly originally took over as interim manager just 28 games into the season and successfully guided the team to the playoffs. The agreement ensures his continued leadership of the Phillies beyond the interim role he initially assumed.
