Max Verstappen takes F1 Singapore GP pole from Leclerc after sprint win

Max Verstappen claimed pole position for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay, edging Charles Leclerc's Ferrari by just five-hundredths of a second to secure his 50th career pole and first in Singapore. Verstappen also won the sprint race, continuing his strong run of form following a pole and win at the previous round in Malaysia. George Russell, whose title hopes are fading, crashed out of the sprint race while leading on lap one, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying third and Andrea Kimi Antonelli fourth.
