McDavid ‘can feel the energy’ ahead of Oilers training camp

Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid expressed excitement ahead of training camp, saying he is healthy and energized after the Oilers were eliminated by the Anaheim Ducks in six games in the first round of the 2025 playoffs — their earliest exit since 2021. The Oilers, who lost to the Florida Panthers in consecutive Stanley Cup Finals in 2024 and 2025, will begin training camp next week under new head coach Mike Babcock. Edmonton opens their regular season at home against the Vancouver Canucks on September 29.
