McLaren admits F1 Monaco curfew breach after critical Lando Norris issue found
McLaren admitted to breaking the F1 curfew at the Monaco Grand Prix on Friday night after discovering a critical issue with Lando Norris' MCL40, which had stopped on track during FP2 with a suspected electrical fault. To address the problem, the team replaced the wiring harness and changed the ESME (Energy Store Main Enclosure) pack overnight ahead of FP3. As it was McLaren's first curfew breach of the season, no sporting penalty was applied, though the loss of track time at Monaco is considered the most significant consequence.
