McLaren and Alpine F1 teams at odds after Briatore outburst over appeal

A major dispute has erupted between Alpine's Flavio Briatore and McLaren's Andrea Stella ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, after an FIA court of appeal ruled in favour of McLaren and Red Bull regarding the Monaco GP results. The case stemmed from incorrect pit lane speed penalties caused by a mismeasurement of the Monaco pit lane, which had affected Alpine's Pierre Gasly among others. Gasly was subsequently awarded third place following Alpine's successful appeal, but Briatore made extraordinary allegations about McLaren's influence over the FIA court's decision, which Stella called 'insulting'.
