McLaren and Red Bull face further wait on outcome of Pierre Gasly penalty appeal

The FIA's International Court of Appeal (ICA) held a hearing on Tuesday regarding McLaren and Red Bull's appeal against the decision to reinstate Pierre Gasly's third-place finish at the June Monaco Grand Prix, with a ruling not expected for another two to three weeks. Gasly had originally lost his podium after two five-second time penalties for pit lane speeding, but Alpine successfully overturned the sanctions after it was found the pit lane length had been measured incorrectly. Red Bull's Isack Hadjar, who had been promoted to third in Gasly's absence, and McLaren's Oscar Piastri, who dropped from fourth to fifth when the penalty was reversed, are among those affected by the ongoing appeal.
