McLaren laud ‘impressive’ Lando Norris Madrid pole position

Lando Norris claimed pole position in the final seconds of Q3 at the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, impressing McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella, who called it one of the most impressive laps he had witnessed across 450 grands prix. Norris snatched pole by the narrowest of margins despite appearing out of contention during qualifying. However, his race did not go as planned, as an ill-timed Virtual Safety Car cost him victory and he ultimately finished third.
