McLaren reveals special livery to mark 1000 F1 races
McLaren will celebrate its 1000th Formula 1 Grand Prix across the Monaco and Barcelona races, using a special metallic papaya and 'anthracite' livery on the MCL40, to be driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The milestone is particularly significant as Monaco was the scene of McLaren's first ever grand prix in 1966, with founder Bruce McLaren driving the M2B, which will appear alongside the current car in a grid commemoration on Thursday. Due to cancellations and a failure to start in China, Monaco will technically be McLaren's 999th start, with the true 1000th falling at Barcelona.
