McLaren to join Ferrari as only Formula 1 teams to make 1,000 grand prix starts

McLaren will celebrate their 1,000th Formula 1 grand prix start at the Monaco Grand Prix in June 2026, becoming only the second team after Ferrari to reach this milestone. The team, founded by New Zealander Bruce McLaren, has recorded 203 race victories since 1968, along with 10 constructors' championships and 13 drivers' titles, with Lando Norris claiming the most recent drivers' crown in 2025. Ferrari, who reached the 1,000-race mark at Mugello in 2020, remain ahead with 247 wins, 16 constructors' titles, and 15 drivers' championships.
