Meet Freddie Rowe, the rising star of British middle-distance running

Teenager Freddie Rowe has made a stunning start to his outdoor athletics season, breaking the British Under-18 mile record with a time of 4:00.88 at the Bannister Miles event. He also won the U18 men's race at the Mini London Marathon in 7:08 over 2.6km, claimed victory at the Loughborough International's Gandy Mile in 4:04.10 on his Great Britain debut, and secured a European Under-18 Championships qualifying standard by winning the 1500m in 3:45.78 in Birmingham.
