Memorial Tournament: Rory McIlroy content with Muirfield start after early setback as Tommy Fleetwood impresses in first round

Rory McIlroy opened the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Ohio with a one-under-par 71 in the first round, recovering from an early double-bogey after hitting his ball into the water. The Masters champion is playing only his sixth regular PGA Tour event of the year at the Jack Nicklaus-hosted tournament. Tommy Fleetwood also made a strong start in the first round, with second-round coverage scheduled live on Sky Sports from 12.45pm on Friday.
