Nepal and Afghanistan have secured their places in the quarter-finals of the Men's cricket competition at the Asian Games after Nepal's Group A match against Japan was washed out, eliminating the host nation Japan. In Group B, Malaysia and Hong Kong advanced after their match between Malaysia and Oman was also washed out without a ball being bowled, sending Oman home. Nepal had earlier defeated Afghanistan in the group stage, with Sundeep Jora and Lokesh Bam both scoring half-centuries to post 149/4.
