Messi donates money to area damaged by wildfires

Lionel Messi has donated €80,000 (approximately $92,000 / £68,500) to help restore the Sierra Oeste de Madrid region, which has been severely damaged by wildfires. The donation was announced by Isabel Diaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, who thanked Messi and expressed hope that the people of Madrid would soon be able to welcome him in person. Messi, who founded the Leo Messi Foundation in 2007, is well known for his philanthropic efforts supporting children through health, education, and sport programmes.
