Messi fined by MLS for striking opponent; Cavan Sullivan’s red card rescinded
Lionel Messi has been fined an undisclosed amount by MLS after he struck Philadelphia Union attacker Quinn Sullivan in the face during Inter Miami's 2-2 draw on Wednesday. Separately, 16-year-old Cavan Sullivan received a red card during second-half stoppage time following an off-ball altercation involving his brother Quinn, Miami defender Ian Fray, and midfielder Yannick Bright. MLS has since rescinded Cavan Sullivan's red card, clearing him to play on Saturday.
