Mets 1B Young will miss rest of season after collision

New York Mets first baseman Jared Young, 31, will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a concussion during a collision with pitcher Nolan McLean on Thursday night while attempting to field a ground ball. Young was at home resting and recovering on Friday following the incident. The injury ends his 2025 season prematurely.
