Mets' Young taken to hospital after scary collision with teammate

New York Mets first baseman Jared Young was knocked unconscious in the sixth inning on Thursday night after being struck on the head by the knee of pitcher Nolan McLean as both players converged on a slow grounder. Young was carted off the field and transported to a hospital, where a CT scan came back negative. He is reported to be experiencing concussion symptoms following the collision.
