Michael Block's second chance at pro golf stardom on PGA Tour Champions

Michael Block, the club professional from Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, California, who became a fan favourite at the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill — where he made the cut, contended on the weekend alongside Rory McIlroy, and holed a memorable hole-in-one — is now pursuing a place on PGA Tour Champions after turning 50. His path became more difficult when the Champions Tour Q-School was eliminated just as he reached the age of eligibility, forcing him to navigate the gruelling Monday qualifying route instead. Block is using the fame and goodwill from his 2023 PGA Championship moment to fuel his second attempt at professional golf stardom.
