Michael Carrick appointed Manchester United’s new permanent head coach
Michael Carrick has been appointed Manchester United's permanent head coach on a contract until 2028, after a highly successful interim spell following his January takeover from Ruben Amorim. The 44-year-old took charge with United sitting sixth and out of both cup competitions, but guided them back into the Champions League and secured at least a third-place Premier League finish. Carrick has pledged to 'challenge for the biggest honours again' in his new permanent role.
