Michael Morales set as backup for UFC 330's Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry

Michael Morales (19-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) has been named the official backup fighter for the UFC 330 welterweight title bout between Islam Makhachev and Ian Machado Garry, scheduled for August 15 in Philadelphia. Morales, 27, will be required to make the 170-pound championship weight and remain on standby in case either competitor is unable to fight. He last competed in November at UFC 322, where he knocked out Sean Brady in the first round at Madison Square Garden.
