
Michigan softball bound for NCAA regional hosted by winner of 4 of past 5 titles
Michigan's softball team (32-20) has qualified for the NCAA Tournament for a third consecutive season, earning a No. 3 seed in the Norman, Oklahoma regional hosted by No. 3 overall seed Oklahoma, who have won 4 of the past 5 national titles. The Wolverines, making the tournament as an at-large selection for the first time under fourth-year head coach Bonnie Tholl, will open against No. 2 seed Kansas (35-19) on Friday at 6 p.m. on ESPNU. Michigan is aiming to advance past regionals for the first time since 2016, with Binghamton rounding out the four-team double-elimination regional.
