Spain defeated Austria 3-0 to advance to the last 16 of the World Cup, where they will face either Portugal or Croatia. Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice and Pedro Porro added a third goal to complete a dominant victory. Goalkeeper Unai Simón kept a fourth consecutive clean sheet, breaking Iker Casillas's record in the process.
