Miller decisions Pero in high-volume WBA slugfest

Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller defeated Lenier Pero by unanimous decision in a WBA heavyweight title eliminator at The Fontainebleu in Las Vegas. The high-volume brawl saw the two heavyweights combine for 1,652 punches thrown, with Miller alone throwing 1,003 and landing 290 (29%). Miller (28-1-2, 22 KOs) overcame early pressure from the previously undefeated Pero (13-1, 8 KOs) by shifting to an inside fighting strategy from Round 3 onward.
