Mitchell injury blow adds to England’s woes as Northampton sink Gloucester

Northampton defeated Gloucester 28-14 in a hard-fought match, but the victory was overshadowed by England scrum-half Alex Mitchell limping off with a suspected hamstring problem. Mitchell is now a major doubt for England's autumn international opener against Australia the following Sunday. Northampton won by scoring 28 unanswered points after weathering Gloucester's early pressure, with Tom Pearson praised as outstanding throughout.
