MLB at Field of Dreams to return in 2027 with Royals-Red Sox matchup

MLB and Universal Pictures announced that the Kansas City Royals and Boston Red Sox will play in the Field of Dreams Game in 2027 in Dyersville, Iowa, making it the fifth edition of the event. The announcement came the day after the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Minnesota Twins 7-1 in the 2026 installment of the game. The Field of Dreams Game series began in 2021 with a White Sox-Yankees matchup and experienced a four-year hiatus from 2022 to 2026 for the construction of a new stadium at the iconic movie site.
