More than 100 MLB players ranked the best and worst organizations: Inside our anonymous poll
The New York Times' Athletic surveyed more than 100 MLB players across 23 teams in an anonymous poll to rank the best and worst baseball organizations. The poll, conducted beginning in February, highlighted teams with poor reputations among players, including the Colorado Rockies, who posted the worst run differential since the 19th century, the Chicago White Sox, coming off three consecutive 100-loss seasons, the Pittsburgh Pirates, who have missed the playoffs for a full decade, and the Athletics, playing in a minor-league ballpark. By the time of publication, several of those struggling franchises had shown unexpected improvement.
