MotoGP insists on no safety compromises amid Liberty’s Miami GP ambitions
MotoGP's chief sporting officer Carlos Ezpeleta has stated that the championship will not compromise on rider safety regarding Liberty Media's ambitions to race at Formula 1's Miami International Autodrome. Liberty CEO Derek Chang had previously described the Miami venue as a 'logical' location to expand MotoGP's US presence, but the temporary circuit's limited run-off zones and proximity to walls raised serious safety concerns for motorcycle racing. Speaking at the French Grand Prix, Ezpeleta clarified that any Miami race remains a long-term possibility rather than an immediate priority.
