MRI reveals how Keely Hodgkinson is literally 'built different'
Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson, 24, revealed that an MRI scan discovered she has two tendons where most people have one, a rare anatomical difference she describes as being 'built different.' The discovery was made during a scan for a previous tear, and the unusual structure meant that when one tendon tore, the other remained intact. Hodgkinson disclosed she had suffered a grade 2C hamstring tear just a month before the European Athletics Championships final in Birmingham, where she finished second to Swiss rival Audrey Werro at the World Athletics Ultimate Championships in Budapest.
