MSU men's tennis edges Ohio State for first Big Ten tourney title since 1967
Michigan State's men's tennis team won its first Big Ten tournament title since 1967, defeating Ohio State 4-3 in a dramatic championship match on April 25 at Libbey Park in Ojai, California. The match, which began at 8 p.m. ET and was plagued by multiple weather delays, did not conclude until nearly 3 a.m. ET. Sophomore Matthew Forbes clinched the title with a 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 victory over Jack Anthrop at No. 2 singles, defeating a Buckeyes team that had won 14 of the last 19 Big Ten tournament titles since 2006.
