Mum of two leads St Christopher’s runners who raise over £120,000 at the London Marathon
St Christopher's Hospice celebrated a major fundraising milestone after 26 runners collectively raised over £120,000 at the 2025 London Marathon, including eight charity place runners and 18 ballot place runners. Among the standout participants was novice runner Astrid, a mother of two who raised an incredible £22,500 in memory of her husband Theo, who died in January 2025 just months before his dream of running a sub-3-hour marathon. Astrid, who had found the previous marathon day deeply painful while grieving, has since entered the ballot for the 2026 event so her daughters Mollie and Elodie can enjoy the experience of cheering her on.
