Munoz dies from infection six days after crash

Colombian cyclist Cristian Camilo Munoz, 30, has died from a knee infection sustained during a crash at the Tour du Jura one-day race in France six days prior. After not finishing the race, he traveled with his NU Colombia team to Spain for another event, where he was hospitalized with a 'difficult-to-treat' infection. Munoz, a former rider for UAE Team Emirates, had previously finished fourth in the 2024 Colombian Road Race Championships.
