Naoya Inoue successfully defended his undisputed super-bantamweight titles (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) against fellow Japanese fighter Junto Nakatani at Tokyo Dome on Saturday, winning by unanimous decision with scores of 116-112, 116-112, and 115-113. The bout drew a sell-out crowd of 55,000 fans, making it one of the biggest fights in Japanese boxing history. The defeat handed Nakatani the first loss of his professional career, ending his previously perfect 32-fight record.
