National Road Championships: Zoe Backstedt seals double with elite women's road race win

Zoe Backstedt, 21, won the British elite women's road race in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, completing a remarkable double after also winning the time trial title three days earlier. Backstedt overhauled Josie Knight to finish one minute and 42 seconds clear, with Knight taking second place and Millie Couzens claiming bronze ahead of Pfeiffer Georgi. The result gave Backstedt an all-Welsh podium topping performance at the National Road Championships.
