The NBA presented a new draft lottery reform proposal called the '3-2-1' system to all 30 teams during a virtual general manager's meeting on Tuesday. The proposal, obtained by The Athletic, would expand the lottery from 14 to 16 teams and is designed to incentivize bottom-standing teams to win games rather than deliberately lose to improve their draft odds. If approved, the new system would take effect beginning with the 2027 NBA Draft.
