NBA writer: Cavs are ‘running their core back’ with or without LeBron

NBA writer Brett Siegel of Clutch Points reports that the Cleveland Cavaliers plan to run back their core roster regardless of whether LeBron James re-signs, and will not make major additions to entice him. The Cavs reportedly have two contracts prepared for free agent James Harden — one contingent on signing LeBron and one without him. James, who became an unrestricted free agent on July 6, is considered most likely to join Cleveland, Miami, or Philadelphia, with his decision reportedly delayed while he waited to see if suitors could acquire Anthony Davis and/or Kyrie Irving.
