NCCU Men’s Tennis Earns Berth in UTR Sports NIT Championship Field

North Carolina Central University's men's tennis team has earned a bid in the 2026 UTR Sports NIT Championship, to be held at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia from May 6-8. The Eagles enter as the No. 5 seed and will open against No. 4 Chattanooga on May 6 at 2:30 p.m., a rematch of last year's semifinal in which NCCU fell 4-3. This marks the second consecutive year NCCU has qualified for the postseason tournament, which also features No. 1 Virginia Tech, No. 2 North Alabama, and No. 3 Longwood.
