Nelson looking forward after ‘crazy year’ with Avalanche, Olympic gold

Brock Nelson, 34, completed a standout first full season with the Colorado Avalanche in 2024-25, recording 65 points (33 goals, 32 assists) in 81 games while also reaching his 1,000th career NHL game. The veteran center, who was traded from the New York Islanders to Colorado on March 6, 2025, finished fourth on the team in scoring and was named a Frank J. Selke Trophy finalist. Nelson also won an Olympic gold medal with the US men's hockey team, capping what he called a 'crazy year.'
