New LPGA tournament set to debut on Big Island in 2027
A new LPGA tournament called the Nanea Cup is set to debut on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2027, hosted by Kailua-Kona's Nanea Golf Club from March 11-14. The event features a $4 million purse and will include both LPGA and collegiate golfers in what the LPGA describes as a first-of-its-kind competition celebrating women's golf. LPGA commissioner Craig Kessler highlighted the tournament's appeal, noting Hawaii as a natural stop between Asia and the West Coast.
