New Mexico State, Northwestern State women's basketball teams scored for the wrong team on the same day

In an unusual coincidence, both New Mexico State and Northwestern State women's basketball teams each scored for the wrong team on the same day. The rare occurrence of two separate own-basket incidents happening in collegiate women's basketball on the same date is considered an extraordinary statistical anomaly. No specific scores or dates were provided in the excerpt, but the event was notable enough to be highlighted as something likely never to happen again.
