Newhook's highlight-reel midair, backhand, batted in goal wins series for Canadiens

Alex Newhook scored a stunning series-winning goal in the third period of Game 7 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, batting the puck out of midair with his backhand after it rebounded off the glass from a Lane Hutson shot. The incredibly difficult goal squeezed past goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy, who got his skate to the post and reached out with his blocker, leaving only a tiny gap. The goal eliminated Tampa Bay and sends the Montreal Canadiens through to the next round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
