NFL roundup: Daniels’ overtime blunder costs Commanders as Giants salvage wild 27-27 tie

The Washington Commanders and New York Giants ended in a 27-27 tie on Sunday after quarterback Jayden Daniels made a costly error in overtime, scrambling for no gain with 12 seconds left and no timeouts, preventing Washington from spiking the ball before time expired. The Commanders (1-3-1) had been in field-goal range after Daron Payne forced a fumble from Giants' Cam Skattebo, but Daniels' decision to run left coach Dan Quinn furious on the sideline. Elsewhere in the NFL, Drake Maye threw four touchdowns as the New England Patriots routed the Las Vegas Raiders 45-17, and the Jacksonville Jaguars stunned the Philadelphia Eagles in London with a last-second play.
