NHL announces new international format for 2027 All-Star Game

The NHL has announced a new international format for the 2027 All-Star Game, to be held at UBS Arena in New York in February. The All-Star Game will feature a three-on-three tournament with five teams — Canada, USA, Sweden, Finland, and a Rest of World squad — competing for a $2 million prize, with Russian players included on the World team. The weekend will also include a skills competition for players under 25, featuring six events with a $1 million prize for the winner.
