NHL Broadcast Training Camp grooming players for future TV careers
The NHL held its third annual Broadcast Training Camp on July 13-14 at the league's U.S. headquarters in New York, aimed at preparing current players for potential future careers in television broadcasting. Veterans such as Kenny Albert, Ed Olczyk, and Marc Levy participated as mentors, with Albert working alongside New York Rangers defenseman Sean Durzi in mock broadcast scenarios simulating TNT coverage of the Eastern Conference Final. The camp gave players hands-on experience with live microphones, headsets, producers, and real game footage to develop on-air skills.
