NHL Draft Lottery set for May 5

The 2026 NHL Draft Lottery will be held on Tuesday, May 5 at the NHL Network studios, broadcast live on ESPN, and will determine the selection order for the first 16 picks among non-playoff teams. The St. Louis Blues, who acquired Detroit's first-round pick in exchange for Justin Faulk, are currently projected to pick at No. 11 and No. 15 overall. The Blues hold a 3% chance of moving to No. 1 overall, while their Detroit-acquired pick could move as high as No. 5 if Detroit wins the lottery.
