NHL launches local production operation with at least four teams in 2026-27
The NHL has launched a centralized local production operation, with four teams — the Blue Jackets, Blues, Hurricanes, and Wild — set to use it for their local telecasts beginning in the 2026-27 season, following the closure of Main Street Sports Group-operated regional networks. The Anaheim Ducks are also a potential candidate to join after notifying streaming partner Victory+ of their intent to terminate that relationship. The initiative is backed by a high-seven- to low-eight-figure investment in NHL Productions over the next three seasons.
