Amazon Prime Video's 'Wednesday Night Hockey' schedule for the 2026-27 NHL season opens on September 30 with the New York Islanders visiting the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena at 7 p.m. ET, featuring a highly anticipated matchup between consecutive No. 1 overall draft picks Matthew Schaefer (2025, Islanders) and Gavin McKenna (2026, Maple Leafs). The 27-game slate, exclusive to Canadian Prime subscribers at no extra cost, will be available in both English and French and also includes select Stanley Cup Playoff series. The Montreal Canadiens lead all teams with seven appearances on the schedule, while the Maple Leafs are set for six games featuring matchups against Detroit, Boston, and Tampa Bay.
