NHL’s top UFAs still available: Latest rumours
Following NHL free agency's opening day on July 1, in which 166 contracts worth a combined $950 million were signed, several notable unrestricted free agents remain unsigned. Among them is right wing Anthony Mantha, 31, who posted a career-high 64 points with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2024-25 under coach Dan Muse and carried a $2.5 million cap hit. Despite his strong season, concerns about his injury history, inconsistency, and an unsustainably high 21.7% shooting percentage make teams cautious about offering him a long-term deal.
