Nick Kyrgios cleared to return to tennis after accepting one-month ban for positive cocaine test

Nick Kyrgios, 31, has accepted a one-month ban after testing positive for benzoylecgonine, a cocaine metabolite, from a sample taken during the Mallorca Open in June. The Australian admitted to investigators from the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) that he used cocaine at a nightclub in Magaluf on 20 June, two days before playing his first-round match at the tournament. Having been provisionally suspended on 4 August, Kyrgios is now eligible to return to professional tennis following the resolution of the case.
