Nick Kyrgios suspended after failed drug test

Nick Kyrgios has been provisionally suspended by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) after testing positive for benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, from a sample provided at an ATP 250 event in Mallorca, Spain on 22 June 2026. The positive result was confirmed by a WADA-accredited laboratory on 17 July 2026. Kyrgios, 31, acknowledged the failed test on his Instagram story, stating he takes 'full responsibility for it,' and has not yet appealed the provisional suspension.
