Nick Kyrgios tested positive for cocaine at ATP Tour event, provisionally suspended

Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios, 29, tested positive for a cocaine metabolite following a sample provided at the Mallorca Championships in June 2025, with the result confirmed on July 17. He has been provisionally suspended since August 4 and has not appealed the decision, according to the ITIA. Kyrgios, a 2022 Wimbledon finalist, issued a public apology taking full responsibility for what he called 'a huge mistake.'
