Nick Saban says the upcoming 24-team College Football Playoff will include 'too many' teams

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban has criticized the upcoming 24-team College Football Playoff format, set to begin in 2027, stating it includes 'too many' teams. Under the expanded format, teams could play as many as 17 games in a season, even with the elimination of conference championship games. Saban, now working in a broadcasting capacity, made these comments despite his current employer being set to televise most of the playoff games.
